People come through our door for a number of reasons. Some have been away from church for some time, and are seeking connectedness with God and others on the journey. Others have relocated to our area. They want to be rooted in a place to continue their growth, and to contribute meaningfully. Whatever the circumstances, we hope you find at Solebury United Methodist Church a “community of love and forgiveness.”

Here, you will find the atmosphere of a nurturing family. We teach, pray for, and support one another. Worship is always intended to make sure God is at the center of our life. Two styles are designed to address different needs. A multi-media worship experience uses videos, Powerpoint, and contemporary music; the traditional service includes organ music, time-honored hymns, and familiar ritual, to encourage peace in a busy life. Either way, please come dressed to be yourself.

Outreach and witness are also important to us. We believe that the church does not exist in a vacuum, but is called to be part of the community around us. Together, we learn to tell the story of our faith journey, and we live in service and stewardship, sharing the story as we go.

Solebury people celebrate diversity! We realize that folks have different experiences, from which we can grow together. We do not try to make everyone the same! Our faith is formed by scripture, the tradition of the Christian church, information available to us today, and our own experience with God.
