Programs for All Ages

Sunday School is provided at 9:00 am and 10:30 am each Sunday.

Nursery Care for infants and toddlers is provided each Sunday beginning at 8:45 am until Noon.

Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting is an opportunity for the congregation to come together mid-week for an "hour of power" in prayer for one hour from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the church.

Youth Group. Provides regular fellowship opportunities for our young people to have fun, make new friends, and grow in their faith by increasing their knowledge of the Bible and improving their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Confirmation Class is a weekly program for young people to strengthen his/her Christian commitment by making the personal decision to become a member of the United Methodist Church.

Prayer Shawl Ministry, a knitting/crocheting ministry, meets on Tuesdays, 10:30 am to Noon at church.

Creative Christian Kids (CCKids) is a dynamic children's ministry held monthly for two hours for children ages 10 and under to provide Christian-based activities that include arts and crafts, games, music, storytelling and prayer. The schedule varies between Friday evenings 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday mornings 10:00 am to Noon.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) Ministry. Each summer, SUMC provides VBS for the New Hope/Solebury communities. A week-long fun-filled evening program with music, arts and crafts, games and hands-on- mission projects and Bible stories. click on "VBS" on the right-hand side of the home page (under Upcoming Events) for more information.

Concert Series. Our Annual Concert Series is an exciting ministry that invites the community to join SUMC for an evening of inspiring Christian music performed by local artists. Please refer to the Church Calendar for 2008 concert time and date information.

United Methodist Men's Ministry (UMM) is a community of men whose purpose is to assist men to know Jesus Christ, to serve Him, to grow spiritually and seek daily to do His will. At SUMC, the UMM meets one Saturday a month at 8:00 am for breakfast and prayer time.

United Methodist Women's Ministries(UMW) is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. The UMW programs focus on mission education, spiritual growth and social action with a continuing focus on the needs of women, children and youth. At SUMC, we are blessed to have two UMW Ministries who focus on different outreach missions with a common goal - to know Jesus Christ.

      º Our Senior Group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at
         1:00 pm.
      º Our Ruth Circle meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at
         7:30 pm.

Drama Ministry provides dramatic performances involving all ages for Lent and Christmas and at other times as appropriate.

Liturgical Dance Ministry called Spirit Moves provides dancers of all ages the opportunity to share in the interpretation of Scripture through dance.

Music Ministry:
      º Children's Choir - check calendar for times and dates
      º Adult Choir rehearses Thursdays at 7:30 pm
