Program Description

Our curriculum is theme based, developmentally appropriate and child oriented with a focus on preparing your child for the Kindergarten experience. Our experienced teachers prepare a creative environment where each child is treated as an individual; they are helped to develop to their greatest potential and to fostering a love of learning.

This program offers a variety of experiences which promote social, emotional and intellectual growth in a combination of structured teacher directed activities and free choice activities.

Your child will develop Pre-Reading and writing skills with a combination of the Harcourt Brace Trophies Language Arts program and the use of Kid Writing while developing math readiness skills using the Everyday Math series.

Our class size is limited to 12 children with a teacher and an assistant.

Teaching Staff

Elizabeth (Beth) Wager, BS, Teacher, Pre-Kindergarten

Beth worked as served in a variety of teaching positions in both public and private schools. Prior to joining SUMCLC, Beth was the head  three year old teacher  at Kindercare in Warminster.  She also served as the director of Oreland Presbyterian Weekday Nursery School.  Beth received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Temple University. Beth is certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.  Beth has worked at the CLC for 7 years.

Dawn Solly, BS, MS, Teacher, Pre-Kindergarten

Dawn has worked as a third grade and a sixth grade teacher at Quarry Hill Elementary School in Pennsbury, PA. Prior to joining SUMCLC, Dawn was a science specialist, language arts specialist and assistant director with Kinderworks Preschool in New Hope. She has also served as a substitute teacher for the Pennsbury, Penn Ridge, Bensalem and Bristol Township School Districts. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from The College of New Jersey and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University. Dawn is certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.  She has worked at the CLC for 7 years.
